Initial Impression: That is a floating hat, she's so cute, why does the daddy cat look sad? What a lovely use of pink and green, clever.

Perception Lines: My attention is immediately drawn to the smaller, brighter, and happier of the two subjects. It's lifted up to the hat and then down to the large subject. A nice, center, up, down, center manner of viewing.

Vision: The theme is is strong, the execution simplistic but powerful, and it's all very focused. The excited and uplifting young subject, the set and somewhat more dower older subject. The relation between them is immediately implied and then made obvious after closer inspection.

Originality: The concept of a father's day drawing depicting related characters in conflicting attitudes isn't a new thing. However, the use of only circular shapes throughout the entire piece if a subtle bit of cleverness that makes this an original approach at a well worn idea.

Technique: As mentioned the technique of using circular shapes through the entire piece is a stylistic and technical bit of cleverness. One of the only portions of the piece that I think detracts from the very 2D style are the bumps on both their foreheads, particularly the younger subject. Also the younger subjects pars seem a little to cluttered and might have been better without the green pads.

Impact: I find this piece adorable, clever, and I even like cats. That being said, it's not something which inspires thought nor frames things differently than I may have considered. For all the cleverness and cuteness, it's not hugely impacting on other fronts.
